The Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council is a membership-driven organization. As a value to our members, we highlight their efforts and impact on the state’s advanced energy economy. Today, we’re highlighting TAEBC Member Edward Rottmann, CEO of Chroma Energy Group.
Why are you a part of TAEBC?
TAEBC is a fantastic organization that keeps Chroma plugged into everything that is happening around the state of Tennessee in the energy sector. Our company loves receiving the newsletter, seeing the social media posts on big events, and participating in the annual conference. As a high growth start-up, it is critical for Chroma to understand the landscape of energy around the state and what is happening from a policy perspective. We also know that if we ever have any questions, we can get the answers from TAEBC leadership with just a phone call.
What value does TAEBC provide to your organization?
Chroma believes that the energy transition is rooted in the business community embracing it, governmental policy promoting it, and the utility sector investing in it. Chroma is appreciative of having talented individuals from TAEBC advocating for clean energy growth in all three sectors.
A Recent Win:
Chroma has had a few big wins in the previous year. We operate primarily in the Southeast region, but we are very passionate about our local community embracing clean energy. In 2024, Chroma designed and built a solar canopy that is going to power Knoxville’s Sunsphere. It was great working with the many stakeholders in this high visibility project. Chroma also was honored to be chosen as the turnkey solution provider that installed a large-scale solar installation for a major affordable housing development in Nashville. This installation will offset tenants’ utility bills and provide clean energy to our grid. Read the press release.
At Chroma, we want to leave our mark on our communities and businesses we touch and we celebrated some major milestones with that in 2024.
