The Plains & Eastern Clean Line is a direct current transmission line that will deliver low-cost wind energy from the Oklahoma Panhandle region to utilities and customers in Arkansas, Tennessee, and other markets in the Mid-South and Southeast. The project will benefit Tennessee by providing affordable, renewable energy, investing $300 million in transmission facilities in West Tennessee that will generate millions of dollars in tax revenue and create hundreds of construction jobs in the state.

The Department of Energy will hold a public hearing from 5:00-8:00 p.m. CST on February 12 in Millington, TN. The meeting will include:

  • Open House: 5:00 pm – 5:45 p.m. CST
  • Project Presentation: 5:45 pm- 6:15 p.m. CST
  • Public Comment Period: 6:15 pm – 8:00 p.m. CST
