2020 Rural Energy Conference

Join ACEEE in February for its second 2020 Rural Energy Conference, the premier conference on clean energy solutions for rural America. This dynamic one-day event will explore how clean energy, including energy efficiency, can spur economic growth and lower energy bills for rural residents.
You will hear experts discuss best practices for designing and financing rural clean energy and energy-saving programs. You will explore efficiency solutions that reduce energy burdens and spur local economic growth. You will also form relationships with leaders from utilities, government, industry, nonprofits, financial institutions,academia, and companies who are working to increase rural prosperity.
The opening plenary will look at electrification efforts across the United States. Representatives from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives, Efficiency Maine Trust, and Next Energy US will share strategies for electrifying rural communities.
At the afternoon plenary, experts from the Colorado Energy Office, University of New Mexico School of Law, University of Michigan, and Environmental and Energy Studies Institute will discuss how state policy can drive energy savings in rural communities. They will share policy opportunities such as statewide greenhouse gas reduction goals. Speakers will include:
