TAEBC traveled to Huntsville on March 15 to inform Energy Huntsville about Tennessee’s advanced energy progress; highlighting opportunities where the two organizations can work together in a collaborative spirit to advance the industry in the Southeast.

Cortney Piper spoke to members during the organization’s annual monthly meeting and while there, had the opportunity to share TAEBC’s mission with the CEO of Biztech, a local accelerator and a member of Mayor Tommy Battle’s administration. Mayor Battle launched Energy Huntsville to protect the space and missile systems industrial technology base by focusing intellectual capital and corporate offerings about the growing energy sector.

Energy Huntsville and TAEBC share similarities in scope and mission. The organization exists to diversify the region’s economy, workforce and business environment to include energy applications and innovations by linking the commercial and government contracting strengths of the greater Huntsville region with key customer requirements, market forces and national policy directives for advanced energy systems and applications. The goal is to establish the Huntsville region as the go-to technology center for solutions to energy programs and projects.
